01

Game objective and rule hierarchy

CoachFace fantasy games test a participant's ability to select eligible coaches, managers, and sports leaders whose real-world performance and decisions produce CoachFace points during a defined slate. The objective is to create a valid lineup that earns the highest score under the published scoring system.

Rules apply in this order: applicable law, contest-specific rules shown in the contest lobby, these Game Rules, the Fair Play Policy, and then published help content. A specific contest rule controls a general rule only for that contest. CoachFace may cancel or modify a contest rather than apply a rule that would be unlawful or materially unfair.

02

Entry and eligibility

  • Each entry must be submitted through an eligible, verified CoachFace account.
  • Participants must satisfy age, location, identity, payment, and any contest-specific eligibility requirements at entry and award time.
  • Employees, contractors, data providers, sports personnel, and close household members may be restricted where their role creates confidential information or influence.
  • Entries submitted from prohibited locations, through false information, or in breach of entry limits may be voided.

03

Lineups, salary limits, and selection

A valid lineup must contain the required number and type of eligible selections, remain within any salary or position constraints, and comply with team, league, sport, and duplication limits displayed for the contest. A coach may be selected only while listed as eligible in that slate.

Participants are responsible for reviewing lineup status before lock. CoachFace does not guarantee alerts concerning injury, suspension, dismissal, schedule change, weather, or role change. A saved draft is not an entry until the service confirms submission.

04

Slate lock and late changes

The published lock time controls. Before lock, a participant may edit a lineup subject to contest limits. After lock, selections ordinarily cannot be changed. CoachFace server time is the official timekeeper, and a request is accepted only when recorded by the service before lock.

If an event starts earlier than scheduled, CoachFace may lock affected selections at actual start. If a start is delayed, the original published lock may remain in effect. Late swap is available only when expressly enabled. CoachFace may correct an obvious scheduling or technical error in a manner designed to preserve competitive fairness.

05

Scoring principles

CoachFace scoring may recognize team results and eligible coaching events such as wins, losses, draws, margins, tactical changes, substitutions, challenges, discipline, milestones, streaks, and other sport-specific decisions. The exact categories, weights, bonuses, penalties, and multipliers for a slate are published in the contest rules or scoring page before entry.

Only events supported by the designated official data source and CoachFace scoring definitions count. Commentary, perceived coaching quality, predicted points, betting lines, fantasy projections, and fan opinion do not determine final scoring unless a contest expressly defines an objective metric using them.

No scoring rule will be changed after a contest locks except to correct a clear publication, calculation, data-mapping, or legal compliance error. Any correction will be applied consistently to all affected entries.

06

Postponed, suspended, canceled, or shortened events

Contest-specific rules may define a completion window. If an event is postponed beyond that window, canceled, abandoned, or not officially completed, CoachFace may assign zero points, use statistics through the official stopping point, remove the event, extend the slate, or cancel and refund the contest. The selected treatment will account for the sport, data availability, materiality, and equal treatment of entries.

A coach who is removed, suspended, absent, or replaced receives only points earned under the published role and event definitions. CoachFace does not guarantee that a listed coach will participate for any minimum duration.

07

Official data, corrections, and finality

CoachFace designates one or more official statistics providers for each contest. Initial scores may be live and unofficial. Stat corrections received before the contest is marked final will be applied. CoachFace may also correct duplicate events, identity mappings, feed outages, and obvious calculation errors.

Unless contest-specific rules provide another period, results become final when CoachFace completes its standard review and marks the contest final. Later league corrections ordinarily will not reopen a finalized free contest or paid award unless required by law, necessary to correct a material CoachFace error, or needed to protect game integrity.

08

Rankings, ties, and awards

Entries rank by total eligible points after corrections. Ties are resolved by the published tiebreaker. If none is published, tied participants share the applicable rank and any divisible award equally. Indivisible promotional items may be resolved by a disclosed secondary statistic, earliest valid entry, random draw, or equivalent fair method permitted by law.

Leaderboard positions, badges, and points may remain provisional during integrity review. Awards are subject to verification, tax documentation, account standing, payment clearance, and the absence of a rules violation.

09

Technical failures and contest cancellation

If an outage, corrupted feed, incorrect player pool, security incident, or other technical problem materially affects entry or scoring, CoachFace may pause entry, restore a verifiable state, extend a deadline before play begins, remove an affected event, cancel the contest, or refund eligible entry fees. CoachFace will not selectively alter a lineup based on hindsight.

Participants should preserve confirmation records and promptly report a suspected error. A local device, connectivity, browser, or carrier failure does not by itself require a contest adjustment when CoachFace systems operated normally.

10

Questions and appeals

A scoring or result question must identify the contest, entry, disputed event, and requested correction. It should be submitted promptly and, for any paid contest, within the appeal period displayed with that contest. CoachFace will review designated data, system records, and the published rules.

CoachFace's decision is final for game administration after a fair review, subject to mandatory legal rights. Integrity investigations may remain confidential to protect users, evidence, and detection methods.
